A Stone That Carries Its Own Stripes
This oval stone was found on a beach in Lebanon, where the tide has spent years polishing its surface smooth. Brown as wet sand, banded with natural beige stripes that run across it like a fingerprint no two stones share, this one caught my eye because the pattern looked almost deliberate, like it had been drawn on rather than formed by the sea.
I set it in a bezel of sterling silver using the lost wax casting method, with a single sculpted claw reaching over the top edge to hold it firm while keeping as much of the stone visible as possible. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver chain finished with a toggle clasp: a circle and bar that lock together with a simple twist, easy to open and close on your own.
Every 7ajra piece starts as a stone before it becomes jewelry. This one comes with a handwritten card noting exactly where it was found, and a photo of the spot itself, so the story travels with it.
