Jabal and Kahf - ring

A simple ring with a not-so-simple shape.

Jabal means mountain and Kahf means cave, and that’s what I had in mind while making this ring. I built it up in wax, little by little, until it started to look like canyons, mountains and caves. Nothing here is smooth or straight, and that’s the point. Then it was cast in sterling silver with the lost wax method, so every ridge and hollow of the wax made it into the metal.

I made it for and with a man’s hand in mind.
