Alchemia | The First Cast - ring

Alchemia is where my lost wax journey began.

In October 2023, I made my very first wax ring and placed a tiny raw calcite in the middle, hoping it would survive the casting process.

It didn't. But something unexpected happened. The silver took the exact shape of the stone, even the crack that ran through it.

What was meant to be a ring holding a stone became a ring shaped by one that was no longer there.

My first cast, my first lesson in letting go of the plan, and one of the pieces that will always stay with me.

Handmade by me, shaped by wax, fire, and a little bit of the unexpected!
